Situated on the west end of Panama City Beach, in Bay County, Carillon Beach is just a few miles from the Walton County line, and is just 2 miles east of Rosemary Beach and the renowned 30A Corridor. CARILLON BEACH, known as the "Village by the Sea", is tucked away on the quiet west end of town, and though popular with tourists does not experience the same swells in tourist populations as the east end of Panama City Beach does, especially during annual spring breaks. Carillon Beach seems to enjoy quiet isolation from the throngs of visitors that sometimes clog the east end of Panama City Beach, or the west end of the 30A Corridor. It is in that little sweet spot, a well preserved secret. With it's white picket fenced properties, winding streets, pastel colored beach homes, bell tower, chapel, and 8 private beach walkovers, it is a hidden gem on the Emerald Gulf Coast of Florida.
Carillon Beach came into being 33 years ago, and comprises 100 acres. There are currently 290 homes in Carillon. Some are strictly residential, while others are on the vacation short term rental market, but all are lovingly cared for. Flip Flop Holiday is both a home and a vacation short term rental property. Managed by the homeowners, it is painstakingly maintained and professionally cleaned. We have pride in ownership, and work diligently to ensure our home is well cared for. We do this for ourselves, but also because it is important to us that our guests experience the best that we can offer.
Carillon Beach amenities include 3 community pools. Bellview and Lakeview pools are both heated seasonally, while the Gulfview pool is not. Bellview pool is known as the children's pool and is just down the street from Flip Flop Holiday. There is a small kiddie pool inside the Bellview pool complex as well as a children's play area that was renovated in the spring of 2023. In the Bellview area you will find the basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts, all of which have been renovated. All of these community amenities are available to you when you rent our home, FLIP FLOP HOLIDAY.
Carillon Beach also boasts one CARILLON or bell tower, the community's namesake that is located in the main roundabout. (See my blog on the bell tower by clicking here.) This bell tower softly chimes it's bells every hour on the hour from 8 am to 8 pm, daily. It is a community, resident, and guest favorite! The roundabout where the bell tower is located has benches to sit and enjoy the bells, while being ensconced in the soft glow of lights from the oak trees. Here the oak trees are draped in Spanish moss, which softly clings to and hangs from their limbs as they stretch skyward.
Another community favorite is the little church, known as the "Meeting House." A small, but beautifully renovated chapel, used for both religious services, and for private weddings, is the destination of choice for many southern brides and grooms.
To the left of the Meeting House, if you are lookin at it from the front, is the community green, where lavish and beautiful wedding receptions are often held after the wedding vows are exchanged, and the wedding party wants to celebrate with family and friends. This is also where the Carillon HOA hosts their "Groovin' on the Green" free concert series.
The "Groovin on the Green" concert series is hosted monthly from April through October, weather permitting, and features local favorite bands, all free of charge to residents and guests alike. Concert goers are urged to bring something to sit on, and are encouraged to sit and enjoy the music, or get up and dance if the mood strikes. Concert goers are able to stroll over to the Carillon Market Square to buy food from any of the participating vendors to enjoy while groovin' to the tunes on the green!
Being a gated community, one must first gain access through their new online portal. This helps to minimize traffic in the community and limits congestion at check-in. Carillon Beach also has 24/7 property patrol officers who work with the Bay County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) to maintain law and order in and around the Carillon Beach community. They are all friendly, helpful people who work diligently to assure the community stays safe and peaceful.
